Privacy Policy

Wayoop is responsible for the information you give us when you use the travel quiz and the website.

• Your quiz answers: who is travelling, when, from where, how, budget, trip types, which country's passport you travel on (only if you choose to say – never a passport number) and your other answers. Without an account they are only stored in your own browser.
• Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and email they share with us.
• Profile (optional): display name, home city, home airport, language, currency and travel preferences such as lodging types, airlines, ways to travel and loyalty programmes.
• Trip suggestions and saved trips while you are signed in, so you can find them again.
• Anonymous quiz statistics: which steps a quiz reaches, so we can see where the quiz is hard. It is tied to a random quiz number, not to your name or email.
• Clicks on flight and hotel links: we store that a click happened and for which destination, with a random click number. The click is passed on via Travelpayouts with the click number so we can see whether it led to a booking. It is not tied to your name or email.
• Feedback you choose to send: your rating, chosen topics, which of the suggestions you prefer (or none of them) and any comment. It is linked to those specific suggestions and quiz calculation so we can improve future suggestions.
• Technical information to prevent misuse: when calculations are used and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address – not the address itself.
• Language: on your first visit we use the country our hosting provider derives from your connection to show the site in Danish (Denmark) or English (other countries). The country and IP address are not stored. You can always switch language yourself.

• To ask relevant questions and find trip suggestions that fit you.
• To keep your account, profile and trips when you want us to.
• To improve Wayoop based on the feedback you send.
• To keep the service secure and limit misuse.

• Hosting and database: Lovable Cloud, where accounts, profiles and saved trips are stored.
• Airport map: if you open the map in the quiz, it is loaded from Google Maps in your browser. Google then sees your IP address and the map area. The map only loads when you open it.
• Departure city search: what you type in the field is sent from our server to the Photon map search (komoot, OpenStreetMap data) and, at the same time, to Open-Meteo's place search (GeoNames data) to find the city. Your IP address is not sent.
• Working out questions and trip suggestions: your quiz answers are sent to an AI model via Lovable AI. We do not send your email or name with them.
• Sign-in: Google and Apple, if you choose to sign in with them.
• Robot check: if you take the quiz without signing in, Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded in your browser to check that you're human. Cloudflare sees your IP address and technical details about your browser.
• Partners: Travelpayouts (only if you accept cookies) and Travelpayouts, Aviasales and Booking.com when you click a partner link (the click is passed on via Travelpayouts). See our cookie policy.
• Destination photos are loaded from Wikipedia/Wikimedia.

We do not sell your information. We use selected providers to run Wayoop, and they only receive what their task requires:

Your account and trip information is kept until you delete it or ask us to delete your account. Quiz answers without an account stay in your browser until you clear it.

You can see, correct and delete your information at any time. Under Account you can download all your data as a file and delete your saved trips, results and feedback yourself. To have your whole account deleted, or to object to how we handle your information, contact us.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
